Unlike the previous Assassin’s Creed spin-off, Altaïr’s Chronicles, for the Nintendo DS, the game will feature a gameplay system similar to the original game where players are able to traverse an open world with nonlinear gameplay allowing players to free-roam the island at will. The character can also keep out of sight of enemies and blend into the environment as well as enter hiding spots such as haystacks similar to the first game. PlotĪssassin’s Creed: Bloodlines takes place before the events of Assassin’s Creed II but after the events of the original Assassin’s Creed. The game is set on the island of Cyprus where players would take on the role of Altaïr, the original main character in Assassin’s Creed. Altaïr has travelled to Cyprus from the Holy Land which was the setting of the first game in order to assassinate the last remnants of the Templars which is the premise of the game.
